      D'ACCORT presentation

The project D'ACCORT was created by A  D'Acunto  and J Cortes-Prieto as non profit Association with the twofold objective of  training specialists to CM and give CM the widest diffusion. Main target is  represented by low income countries, since a series of more than 3000 cases has  proved CM to be low cost, to require a reduced amount of material, to be taught and  learned easily, and to offer maximum efficacy and high safety standards. Financial  support for the project comes from membership fees, from free contributions by all  people who are in agreement with the aims of the Association, and from the returns of  the editorial, educational and scientific diffusion activities, realized by the Association  members (DVDs, courses, etc.) according to the Articles of D'ACCORT (1 and 3).

The D'ACCORT Association, whose Articles of Association reported below were   submitted at the reference Department within the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, in   Madrid, on December 15,  2004, NIF: G84188598,  will celebrate its Memorandum of   Association on December 15, 2005.

All people who share the aims of the D'ACCORT Association can subscribe, if they   wish, as D'ACCORT Association Charter Members until the above mentioned date of Memorandum, or apply   presenting themselves personally at the official celebration.

ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION D'ACCORT

CHAPTER    I

DENOMINATION, AIMS, PLACE OF RESIDENCE, AND CONTEXT

Article 1. A no-profit Association, with legal identity and full capacity to contract, is constituted, under the denomination D'ACCORT, according to Ley Org‡nica 1/2002 (22nd March) and to its subsidiary regulations.

Article 2. The Association is constituted for unlimited time.

Article 3 The Association aims to promote the knowledge, the diffusion and the teaching of the principles of Minitraumatic Surgery (CM) , as developed by Antonio D'Acunto and Joaquin Cort_s-Prieto, with humanitarian and social purposes. The application of CM envisages in first instance putting into practice the aphorism by Ippocrates Primum Non Nocere (First of all, do no harm), through adequate information on the life style most appropriate to the body defence (psychological attitude, diet, phytotherapy, immuno-stimulatory supplements, physical activity both active and passive). This leads to adequate preparation of patients waiting for surgery. Following the above mentioned principles, and with reference to the same aphorism by Ippocrates, minitraumatic surgical acts are stated, whose motives and biological fundamentals  are to be taught, both nationally and in developing countries, based on the described approach, which requires minimal costs, few instruments, strong reduction of drug use and shorter periods of hospitalization, as documented in over two thousand operations, with no complication or problems of different nature.

Article 4. In order to accomplish the aims of the Association the following activities will be carried out: with the intent to promote, give diffusion and teach CM, a dedicated web page will be created and published for: 1) presentation of D'ACCORT Association (Articles of Association, its nature, aims, and means utilized); 2) admission details as members interested in the Association aims; 3) production and possible optional sale of multimedia learning tools; organization and implementation of training courses for professionals as well as patients and relatives through education and practice. All profits from these activities will be entirely devoted to the fulfilment of the aims of the Association.

Article 5. The Association makes the choice of residence for the purpose of jurisdiction in Madrid C/ General Moscard--, nˇ 39-8B 28020. the territorial context where the Association will carry out primarily its activities is represented by the entire Country, national and international.
